Business Strategy: Asia Pacific Focus
This text seeks to explore the management process in the course of setting and executing business strategy. Five interrelated areas are explored sequentially and interactively: understanding strategy; deriving it from forces outside the firm; and from forces within the firm; formulating it; and implementing and controlling it. The scope is universal, but it also sets its specific focus on firms and countries in the booming Asia-Pacific areas, ie Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and beyond. In the chapters, conceptual and exemplary material are interwoven. The capstone is the cases all focused on the Asia-Pacific area, ranging through many countries, industries and facets of business strategy.
